The Elm Tree is nestled in its own pocket of Cornwall Heaven,
just on the outskirts of the City of Truro.
With our locally roasted coffee from 'Bikers Brew' in Redruth,
excellent range of homemade cakes & scones
and delectable light lunch menu, there is something for everyone.
All our cakes, scones, quiches etc are made fresh on site and
produce for our extensive menu is locally sourced where possible.
We are also proud to actively reduce our single-use plastics and
do everything we can to reduce our impact on the environment.
Our Story
Fresh, Simple & Homemade
The Elm Tree was founded by Mum & Daughter Beverley & Kerry in 2014 encouraged by their like-minded supportive family who have always liked to eat, drink, and create amazing food together.
Their hobby quickly led them to opening the Tearoom a place where people from all over Cornwall can meet to enjoy traditional homemade fare in a warm, welcoming, cosy and comfortable atmosphere.
Freshness and creativity are our favourite ingredients. Our lunch menu is varied and the service is unmatched. If you’re looking for a superb place to visit with family or a catch up with friends to enjoy great Coffee & good simple food call in or make a reservation!
Locally Roasted Coffee
We are proud to serve locally roasted signature blend 'Black Chough' coffee from Cornish Coffee with its caramel & dark chocolate notes with a complex body with hints of berry sweetness.
We have on site parking available but this is limited and we would kindly
ask you park sensibly to maximise space.
There is Accessible parking near our entrance door with a level ramp to the door (however the rest of the carpark is gravel) and we have a full Accessible toilet
and baby changer.
We have indoor seating cover for 22 people with 7 tables and a further 7 tables to seat 18 people in our garden area during the summer months (weather permitting)
We are unable to facilitate large groups or private bookings unfortunately.
We love well behaved dogs but keep your fur babies on a lead please inside & in our garden
